Since seeing the Odd Life of Timothy Green, I’m anxious to see what Disney will be coming up with next! During the trailers, we saw Finding Nemo which is coming up on September 14th, they’re re-releasing it in digital 3D and although the girls aren’t usually big fans of 3D movies (they don’t like the stylish glasses. ) they are dying to go to see it. Finding Nemo was a staple in Jillian’s early introduction to movies!
Next up: Frankenweenie! Since Lauren seems to be afraid of her own shadow, I’m not sure how she’d do with this one, but Jessie is totally looking forward to it!
From creative genius Tim Burton (“Alice in Wonderland,” The Nightmare Before Christmas”) comes “Frankenweenie,” a heartwarming tale about a boy and his dog. After unexpectedly losing his beloved dog Sparky, young Victor harnesses the power of science to bring his best friend back to life—with just a few minor adjustments. He tries to hide his home-sewn creation, but when Sparky gets out, Victor’s fellow students, teachers and the entire town all learn that getting a new “leash on life” can be monstrous.
A stop-motion animated film, “Frankenweenie” was filmed in black and white and rendered in 3D, which will elevate the classic style to a whole new experience
On November 2- We can look forward to Wreck-It Ralph. The trailer is hysterical. The girls all asked if we could go see it. Tough for them we have to wait a bit for it to come out!
Toronto seems to be lucky with Lincoln. It opens in Toronto on the 9th of November, followed by worldwide release on November 16.
“Lincoln” focuses on the last four months of the president’s life and the political strategizing he undertook at the close of the Civil War to ensure that slavery would be forever outlawed. “Our movie is really about a working leader who must make tough decisions and get things done in the face of overwhelming opposition,” Spielberg says.
“Lincoln” is a DreamWorks, Twentieth Century Fox, Participant Media production opening in limited release November 9, expanding November 16, 2012
And finally, Disney is also re-releasing Monster’s Inc in 3D. This was another favourite movie by the girls, so I’m sure they’ll want to see it too!
Which ones are you most looking forward to? Even though I’ve seen both Finding Nemo and Monster’s Inc. I think it’s about time I watch them again!
