I have mentioned before that I lost 60 lbs. (I chalk this up to one of my greatest accomplishments besides procreating and playing 10 different instruments) After I was satisfied with my weight, 178 pounds from 238, I decided to reintroduce carbs. Thankfully what the Zone did for me before was to kick start my metabolism. BUT, since losing that weight, I have said that my goal is to lose another 30 lbs. At first I really wasn’t in a hurry to lose anymore weight. I was happy. I worked hard. Plus, I had reached somewhat of a plateau.
I’ve been talking about these last 30 lbs FOR. FREAKING. EVER. So, enough with the talk, I’m going to do it. I’m jumping back on the Zone diet. Honestly though, if it weren’t for Rhea, I probably would have stayed this size or gotten fatter again. Speaking of which, I really need to get my rings resized so they FIT on my hand instead of being too loose. (which means I take them off… And leave them somewhere… whoops)
I BELIEVE Rhea is going to be doing a different diet than I am, but the thought is the same. Let’s lose weight together and motivate each other. Win, win. Especially since we talk so much anyway. What worked for me last time was to have a SMALL meal of carbs for breakfast (no, Cheryl, this does NOT mean 2 bowls of lucky charms), 1/2 of a dinner plate of salad, 1/4 plate of meat, 1/4 plate dairy for lunch and supper. And when the carb cravings kick in? ONE 90 calorie pack a day. Add 8 glasses of water, plus 3 snacks, I wasn’t hungry the last time, and I certainly hope I’m not hungry this time either.
Another thing that helped me was to prep veggies ahead of time. I cut peppers, carrots, etc for easy application on salads. Also, a bunch of different salad dressings so I won’t get bored. So, fingers crossed, I’l lose these last 30 lbs. Then I can say that I will be as small as I was when I met Adam. I’ll try to update my weight every week. I found it very comforting to know I have only gained 2 lbs since I stopped the Zone the last time. Phew.
Current weight- 180 lbs
Pant Size- 13 (this is highly annoying. I can only shop at one store)
Shirt Size- Large (but I COULD go to a medium, but my ginormous tata’s don’t approve.)












I jumped back on the “Eat Clean” bandwagon this morning. Think you have room for a third in this accountability/cheerleading/kicking-each-others-ass-into-shape event of yours? If so, I would like to “apply” LOL I want to lose 30lbs also.

I know you can do this! I need to do it too. I have about the same amount of weight left to lose and honestly, I would like to do it before I transfer for the surrogacy and start gaining baby weight!

Good for you girl! I totally get the weight loss struggle. I’d like to lose 10 more pounds, but don’t seem very motivated to actually put the work in. Maybe you’ll be the motivation I need?

I’m going to cheer you on and hopefully drop some weight myself (ahem…donut anyone?) We’re back to no HFCS or chemicals and I need to keep up on my water. I’m starting by making a huge pot of home made turkey soup…I need to detox!
