I have a bunch of small ideas that I can’t really blog separately. They would make for VERY short blog posts! So, here’s a quick lowdown on what’s going on with us!
The fight for Jillian’s care is continuing. Since we’re leaving central Toronto, we need to find new therapists in North York. This has already become a pain in my bum. My friend told me that it’s no big deal, but really? To be honest? I’m tired of fighting for EVERYTHING. So, I was told that there MIGHT be a 1-2 MONTH wait to get new therapists. This isn’t acceptable. Especially since we’re hoping to get into Holland Bloorview in about 3 months. Sigh. I just wish the “system” was easier to navigate.

Lauren LOVES the new house. So much that she doesn’t want to go back to the apartment to finish packing. Jillian seems in love with it too. I don’t even want to go back to finish packing! Hopefully we’ll finish packing and hand in the keys on Saturday. Fingers crossed.

Tomorrow is my 5th wedding anniversary with my best friend, Adam. I can’t believe it’s already been 5 years! Crazy! not sure what we’ll end up doing- probably nothing! I’m just glad to have been with my soul mate for 5 years and together for 10 in September. Time certainly flies.

I’m not one to criticize other people’s parenting. However… there is a weird thing that I wasn’t sure what to do with. We all know it’s August. And Halloween is in October. Like more than 2 months away. She had bought her kids Halloween costumes and let them wear them. No big deal, right? Well, her kids were bugging her to take them trick or treating. So, she talked to her neighbours and took them trick or treating. I think I’d be afraid of what they’d say to me! Or question my sanity. I don’t really bow down to my children and go with their every whim, but I just thought this sounded strange. I guess to each their own, right??

I talked A LOT about my trip to Nova Scotia last month and how it was my first real time away from my kids. Adam’s heading back to Nova Scotia during Labour Day Weekend and I know that since HE stayed with the girls with no problem that I should have no problem too, but I’m stressed about not having that back up! I guess I’ve gotten SO used to having Adam helping me that it’s going to be totally weird to be without him!

I’m going to post again tonight, about our wedding story! Stay tuned!!

Wait ONE SECOND. You mean to tell me that your neighbor’s kids convinced their mom to take them trick or treating…IN AUGUST? And that she went around to her her neighbors and asked them to pass out candy?!?!?!
I mean seriously, if the kids wanted to “pretend” to trick or treat…let them use their imaginations and do it right there in their own house! But to go involve the neighbors is weird. So I guess that means the neighbors might be asked to put up christmas lights in october….
Maybe she gave them candy to hand out? Lol. I dunno, it’s kinda cute. Maybe than they won’t have to do it in Oct.
I’m so glad the girls like the new home! And how horrible you have to fight for Jillian’s care.
