An Interview with the Hubs.

Interview with Adam:

So, I talk about you all the time, so I thought my readers would like to get to know you a bit better. We already know your name and some basics about you, so, fill us in on some more information!

How did we meet: You barged into my room at Acadia WHILE ON THE PHONE and yelled at me…and then thought i had a speech impediment because you just had to ask the name of the song when it was “Flagpole Sitta”.

How long have we been together?? (No, this is not a trick question. Answer to the best of your ability!) a long time…must be years…probably as long as I’ve been getting grey hairs…

How many children do we have? why do you ask…you don’t know? If you mean how many children do I have…that’s a different story…

What do you like about each child? (Favourite moment, favourite activity, favourite saying, etc)
Lauren is getting to a fun age where she’s starting to understand more and put things together in her head. This morning she said that it was noisy outside and I told her that they were fixing the road. She immediately asked me what broke the road…was it the cars?
Jillian is constantly amazing me with her language and memory. It’s hard to believe that she’s not even 2 yet when she’s having a full conversation with me and even making jokes (not knock knocks or anything like that but doing things that she knows we find funny). Also, her “word of the day” that makes her crack up is priceless.

I have recently posted that I tend to say “I love you” to you a lot. Does that bother you?! I don’t know, who have you been saying it to?

How does it feel to be a Dad of a child with special needs? I don’t really think of Jillian as having special needs, just different ones. She needs a lot of equipment and therapy, Lauren does not (and did not at that age). When Lauren was almost 2 she needed her soother all the time and Jillian doesn’t.

What are your hobbies or passtimes? Video games – PC, Wii, PS3. Being a child’s playground – swing, jungle gym, trampoline. Making Cheryl laugh until she snorts milk out her nose, or until she would snort milk out her nose if she was drinking milk at the time, or if she even drank milk at all.

What is one thing you would change about your wife?! NO MORE COFFEE.

Your grandparents are celebrating 65 years of wedded bliss this September, do you think we’ll be as lucky?? Probably, unless the whole December 21, 2012 thing turns out to be really bad.

If money was no object, what would be one thing that you would invest in (pleasure. Not any bills or anything like that!) Hmmm…that’s a toughie….maybe my own underground lair complete with massive array of supercomputers. That way I could calculate PI to ultimate precision and take over the world! Or maybe just a big mansion with enough rooms that I could devote one to each gaming console ever made, from the Atari to the SNES to the Dreamcast to the PS3. Each room would of course contain a complete library of all games for the console in it. Wow…that sounds awesome…

Anything else to add for my readers? I just got a cool Swiss Army multi-tool thingy..stay tuned for my in-depth review. With lots of technical jargon like “thingy”. I might even throw in a “doohickey” or 2 so watch out!
